Well I came inside and start using internet, after some time I again hear the rain noise and go outside to see the rain. This is the first time I’ve seen such furious rain in my life time. Rain with high speed wind. My house’s garage is covered with terrace but due to that strong wind, rain wet whole garage and entrance door as well. May this rain not bring any accidents or bad news

If one go on Sunday at such stores, like we have Metro, Makro and Hyperstar (Carrefour) in Lahore till now. It is full of customers and become hard to cash out as there’s a long Que to pass that cash counter. Many people leave their trolley because of that crowd. This thing tells us that how many people love to go at such places for shopping. It is a big opportunity for investors to invest in such place where people are crazy to shop in such marts.

Some people shop there for ease. For others it is also becoming a fashion to shop from such stores. Moreover these stores have wonderful promotions and unique products which no one has. These promotions attract people a lot. So these days if any one wish to enjoy the promotions can visit Metro. Happy shopping…

On the other hand if one moves toward the other end of M.M.Alam road which is known as Gulberg mini market then one will find different traditional random food stuff over there. Out of these random eat out places, some have become overcrowded at meal time. Mostly there are burgers and sandwiches shop. Among these burgers shop there is one who also serve Biryani and seem pretty much famous among particular tribe.

This Lasani biryani is at Gulberg mini market, near to Cafe’ Zouk and it is full at lunch time. When you are wandering in Gulberg and hungry for a rice dish which won’t cost you much, than Lasani Biryani is a good tummy filling option. There taste is good and price is less, that’s why it is full with customers. Let me know that how you find Lasani biryani at Gulberg mini market if someone visited there earlier.

Above photos is a gateway to Gulabi Bagh (Rose Garden) and as we pass this gate, there is a tomb of Dai Anga (see description below). This is a historical building and constructed in truly Mughal style architecture. Recently our Govt. has taken some action and put some lights on it which glow up this beautiful artistic piece of building.

This Gateway and Tomb Dai Anga is on G.T. Road near to U.E.T. (University of Engineering & Technology) Lahore. It is easily visible from road but gate is always closed and people use to jump over the fence to go in there. But these visitors don’t come to see the beauty art piece or enjoy the garden but to sit privately, have a chit chat, can smoke and use drugs. Some part of this garden is occupied by illegal houses which lessen down the beauty of park. Below is the description written about Gulabi Bagh Gateway and Dai Anga’s Tomb.

Gulabi Bagh Gateway:

This Gateway is the entrance to measure garden which like so many other gardens at Lahore has now disappeared. It was constructed by a Persian Noble Mirza Sultan Baig who was “Amiral-Bahr”(Admiral of fleet)

The name of Gulabi Bagh (Rose Garden) has been mentioned in laste line of the inscription over the arch way, which describes the kind of the garden, and the date of its construction (1066 AH – 1655 AD) It measures 47+35 and is profusely decorated with mosaic tile work.

Dai Anga’s Tomb:

Behind the Gulabi Bagh Gateway and on the site of the former garden, lies this mausolueum of Dai Anga, the wet-nurse of Shahjahan. She was the wife of Murad Khan, a Mughal magistrate of Bikaner. She was the founder of Dai Anga’s Mosque at Lahore. The Quranic inscription on the wall of the tomb chamber ends in the name of the scribe, Muhammad Salih, with date 1082 A.H. (1671 A.D.), which seems to be the year when the tomb was completed. Built in burnt brick on a square plan, the tomb stands on a low platform underwhich lie the actual burials in subterranian chamber. The mausoleum comprising of a central tomb chamber and eight rooms around it, was once beautifully decorated with enameled tile mosaic work. The roof bears a low pitched dome on a high neck and a square kiosk in each corner supported on slander brick pillars. The original two cenotaphs have been replaced later by the existing brick built oves.

There are three sizes of this Kim’s Shawarma; small, medium and large. He suggest to not to go with large one because it is too overloaded that it overflows from all side and it become very difficult to eat such Shawarma. He suggest me to go for the Medium size Shawarma if I’m very hungry. So for me, a medium size chicken cheeze shawarma came which was really big in size (I think what would be the size of Large one). Well they don’t have beef shawarma at the time which I believe they should serve for a customer like me. And on such a shop which have so much customer, they should give this variety.

Well that Kim’s Shawarma in Samnabad was really yummy and big in size. It was like a full meal with a coke. This place is pretty crowded with customers in evening. Be patient while ordering this tasty Shawarma, though they have speedy service. Let me know if you have any other favorite Shawarma

First time I’ve gone with my MBA class fellow when he ordered Shawarma platter which was something extraordinary delicious and fill up my empty tummy. Later I visit that place more often and give treat to many people. Beef Cheese platter is my favorite dish over here in which they give you all ingredients of Shawarma seperately. Now you have choice to mix up the ingredients according to your requirement and flavor. 

First time I visit Cock ‘n Bull in DHA but later on I came to know that they have branches in other area of Lahore too. I then visit Liberty branch, Model Town branch and always order a platter. I prefer Bull over Cock so I always order beef platter. Platter price is Rs. 160/- and it is more than enough to fill your appetite. On the other hand Shawarma is of Rs. 100/- which is not enough for me, though it is a heavy one.

Well I visit Petit Four many times after trying their Cadburry chocolate brownie. They have many flavors of brownie which are yummy. I love to visit there and have a brownie when I’m around.

Biryani is one of our traditional rice dish and there’s a big competition against it. There are many brands which only deals in Biryani. Brands like Student Biryani and Biryani Express. They are biryani specialist and their main item is biryani and they also make it good. Lately I’d Fazal-e-Haq biryani because I didn’t find above two franchises nearby. It wasn’t matchable to those names so when ever you wish to had a biryani go to some proper biryani brand. Those who have a list of other dishes in menu are very often good with such special dishes.

Fazal-e-Haq are specialist in desi dishes and they are famous for Paya, Siri, Khad and Halwa poori. They have changed the trend of giving our traditional food in good atmosphere. There Khad is one of our (My friend and Me) all time favorite breakfast. They have good tasty food served with quality Nan. If you think of having desi stuff to eat then think of Fazal-e-Haq, I believe it won’t disappoint you.

Once, as usual i entered my college early morning.For the very first time i went to college that early just because of my young brother who wanted to reach college satti saweray (early morning)because he don’t like to face head boys of our college directly on main gate, he scares that they might capture him for some reason.Anyways, as i was walking through a long distant path from main gate to classes, that incipient gleam of dawn and foggy scene took my attention.For once i froze there and started to stare. Then i wonder what if i capture that picture and post it on “Eat ‘n Travel” haha

Well, then i took my cell phone out of my bag which is probably not allowed in college (but a phone without a camera is !!).As i was about to take a photo, there came a teacher in a parking lot to park his motor bike beside that path.Head boys were also standing there, staring at me and wondering that why i am standing in the middle of a path.To divert their curiosity i took out my book to pretend that i am reading it and started to move.I hid my cell in my book and look around to make sure that nobody is spying on me.After that, i finally took that picture and moved on happily..

So, that was a little and funny story of my intensity to capture that pic, as who knows tomorrow morning will might be that foggy or not. Don’t put things on tomorrow, just do it whenever you get a chance, like i did
