Pepsi’s New Logo In Pakistan
I use to read Seth Godin’s blog which writes on Marketing and through his blog I came to know that Pepsi have came up with new logo in October 2008. According to him this new logo test is to increase market share but not considered as a good strategy. However I didn’t see that Pepsi’s new logo in Pakistan. Pepsi is an international brand and when it will change logo it will change it throughout the world. Is it a testing logo? or they will come to developing countries later? I try to catch the new logo but didn’t find anywhere and forget about it. Couple of weeks ago I start looking this new logo in Pakistan as well. Not at one place but at every Pepsi delivery truck. It is not only me who noticed it but my friend also tell me about it today which flashed back my mind and I start sharing this with world or specially with Pakistan.
Logo Comparison: Pepsi v/s Coca Cola:
Both brands have different approach regarding their logo. Pepsi has changed for more than ten times from 1898 to 2008 whereas Coca Cola has same logo from 1885 to till now.
Will this new logo catch people’s attention or increase their market share? What do you think…
I wonder why they changed their logo again, I liked Pepsi’s ying-yang shaped logo and thier 2005 version was pretty good with 3D look. The only good thing I can see in thier latest logo is that it would be easier for people to draw, that is if anyone would want to.

And this 1906 Pepsi logo is so cluttered up :/ I wonder who made it and who approved it :/
I haven’t seen this new logo on any shop but I’ve seen it on every Pepsi truck in Lahore.
I just bought Pepsi’s 500ml bottle with new logo, and I must say it looks pretty good, the design is very clean with no noise.
What about the Coca Cola “COKE” logo? thats was a fail intent to change the clasic logo some years ago.

They gave the symbol a nice smile, but the “e” looks very frightened.
