Mian Gee ki Daal

While travelling from Lahore to Islamabad through GT Road, the sign board of “Mian Gee hotel” caught my eyes and remind me of the last time when I had tasted the famous daal fry of this hotel, some thing like 6 to 7 years back. The taste buds starts to wonder what it tastes like and without informing me ordered my brain to park car at the hotel parking. The next thing I know was that I was inside hotel waiting for my daal fry.

This hotel is located in between Lalamusa and Kharian and is famous for its “desi ghee main daal fry”. Although you get other type of food also but the former one is generally preferred. If travelling on weekends, its even difficult to find the space for car parking. Rates of “daal fry is Rs 90/- (approx USD 1.2) including chapattis, salad, achar,(prickle) and a karak (strong) tea at end.
